Connecting the Dots: A Workshop for ParentsPrevention of drug use begins with effective communication and increasing protective factors in our families. Parents and grandparents need to understand the drug culture surrounding teens. Recognizing the signs of drug abuse is important in early intervention. Connecting the Dots is a workshop that educates and equips parents with effective, knowledge-based communication skills, so they can talk to their teens about substance use and abuse. Work places, schools, and community organizations can schedule a free, one-hour workshop to teach parents about the following:
