Thank for your interest in volunteering with Jewish Family Service. Volunteers make our work possible.
Our volunteer opportunities are flexible to your interests and time constraints. Some volunteers are able to volunteer an hour a month, and some five hours a week; we are grateful for the time you are able to provide, regardless of how little or how much.
All volunteers will be trained and supervised and can rely on JFS staff for support. All volunteers must undergo a criminal background check. If driving is required, volunteers must have a current Utah driver's license and car insurance.
If you are interested in any of the current volunteer opportunities, email our Volunteer Coordinator Xochitl Juarez or call 801-746-4334. You may also fill out the application here.

The Friendly Visitor program supports healthy aging and enhances social connections. This program allows older adults to stay safely in their homes and provides respite care and assistance to caregivers. Examples of services may include errand and/or transportation assistance or walking partner.
Gleeful Choir
The Gleeful Choir is a chorus made up of dementia clients and their caregivers that meets once per week. Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, refreshments and overall assistance.
Food Pantry Support and Administration
The Alex & Sally Lebwohl Food Pantry serves more than 400 individuals and families per month with shelf-stable pantry items. Volunteers help with making up the bags of food we distribute and helping organize food deliveries.
